“You can sit in the cafe and people will talk to you and you don’t feel on your own.”
“It’s a place that you can take part in anything you want, get help if you need it and use the facilities. You can sit in the café and people will talk to you and you don’t feel on your own. You are made to feel part of the community and that you can get involved.”

Over 4000 people come through the door of The Park Centre every month – each with a different interest or need for support. The Centre is home to 40 different organisations including charities, social enterprises and small businesses and The Park charity itself provides vital services and space to a community which includes the top 1% most disadvantaged in the UK.
Local man, Andy is famous for Andy’s Haven – a small community farm and organic garden. His animals are all rescued and range from Kurt the angry turkey, to ducks, chickens, pigs, goats and rabbits. Fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs are sold at a low price in The Park’s reception and Andy’s green fingers ensure that the whole site is colourful with flowers. Young people and long term unemployed who are trying to get into work with The Park’s support, benefit from the skills and confidence building that working in the garden can bring.
