Winning with Youth Moves

Where can young people in South Bristol go to get support when they need it and for as long as they want it?
Youth Moves – Starting Journeys, Inspiring Lives
Ash was a young person who had significant issues going on at home and in her personal life, and these plus the usual pressures of growing up as a teenager led into her getting into trouble in school and having lots of questions about her past, her present and especially her future. She got a mentor from Youth Moves who worked with her to come up with an action plan to address these issues. She met up regularly to talk to a youth worker, went on to join our Youth Opinions group, our youth clubs and won a Bristol Young Hero Award in 2018,  this summer she took part in a leadership residential and completed NCS doing a social action project for a local charity. Ash recently text us to say the following:
‘….thank you for everything you have done for not just me, but my whole family over the 5 nearly 6 years you’ve known and helped us all. If it wasn’t for your help there is no way I would be the same person I am today and I wouldn’t of experienced so many great opportunities if it wasn’t for you and  the rest of Youth Moves.’ Ash, 17years old.
Every year Youth Moves work with over 1000 young people and this is just one example of the many, many young people we support every day helping to change and improve their lives.
Support them by exploring the Feeder Canal Route on Bristol Giving Day.
